1. Two degrees of separation.
What does that mean?
This….
A) It doesn’t matter if you aren’t connected to anybody at the organization to get a step closer to the job.
You just need to be connected to somebody who is.
B) I wish I could say that everything is based on merit. It isn’t.
Nowadays it often has far more to do with WHO rather than what you know.
C) If you have connections that can get you closer to a recruiter or a hiring manager, use them.
D) If you are a 1st connection of mine, I have made my connections visible to you via my profile.
With 540,000+ followers I am inevitably only 2 degrees of separation from a lot of people.
