Want to ace your JOB SEARCH?
Do this….
1. Don’t be put off by the job title.
2. READ the job requirements.
Why? In this day and age, job titles have become over-embellished, exaggerated and unrealistic.
A person who makes coffee for the CEO, may now carry the job title: Senior Beverage Coordinator.
No joke!
Search on your industry field, area of expertise, before standardised job titles. Pay closer attention to READING job descriptions and job requirements.
This is particularly important for people returning to the workforce after an extended gap, or for those looking to make major career changes.
Times have changed in the hiring process.
Recruiters/Hiring Managers:
Let’s stop the fantasy of the “perfect” candidate, unless you can claim to be the perfect recruiter, hiring manager or organization. Please train interviewers to ask relevant questions. Biggest weakness is very passé!
